I joke with my friends that my favorite TV show is the news. I truly could have it running all day long. As a foreign policy grad student focusing on geopolitical risk analysis, my eyes have increasingly been opened to the fact that so many people (my age in particular) know very little about what’s going on in the world!

In some instances, they don’t care. However, I’ve found that for a majority of people, they don’t know where to start. Which sites are credible, which articles are bias, and what’s the context behind what’s happening are sometimes difficult things to decipher…. which is why I’m starting the Boston & Beyond Brief.

Every week I’ll pick a geopolitical event and give you the run-down of all you need to know in a 5 minute read. It’s important to know what’s happening in the world around you, and I hope to give you all a little bit of history, context, and analysis of what’s going on.
